Fun Female Fitness

Group Exercise Classes

Tuesday 5.45pm
Functional Circuits

I designed functional circuits to show women that they are capable of more when they move. I have been using the best functional equipment out there for years so you will be in very experienced hands. Circuits targets the whole body and will increase your heart rate. It’s a mix of low to high intensity using equipment and body weight exercises. It doesn’t matter if you are a beginner or advanced as I can tailor exercise so you progress safely. Each exercise is 30 - 60 secs and the variety of exercises is so motivating. You’ll increase your overall strength, confidence and cardiovascular fitness whilst having fun as you do.

Tuesday 6.40pm
Mat Pilates

Mat Pilates is low impact with slow controlled movements. Pilates is perfect for rehabilitation and improving flexibility. Each exercise lengthens the muscle, improves joint function and enables the deep core muscles to work slowly. If you have back, joint or muscle issues attending regularly can improve and eradicate these problems. Lastly Pilates relaxes the mind, lowers stress and improves circulation. I believe everyone should try a session. It does not matter where you are starting from as Pilates is all about layering and choosing what works for you. I’ll guide you every step of the way.

Thursday 10am & 5.45pm
Run, Walk, Strength Club

Following the success of my Spring/Summer Couch to 5K and One Mile & Strength Club it's time to mix it up again as we head towards the Autumn colder and darker days. These motivating 45 minute low to moderate intensity sessions combine walk/jog intervals from 60 secs - 5 minutes with recovery periods in between. These sessions also combine a variety of motivating achievable strength exercises using body weight such as squats, lunges, press ups, with core exercises and bicep curls using resistance tubes for example. Most people can run in some capacity and these short intervals from 60 secs - 5 minutes are at your pace, with no pressure, walk if you prefer. After just three sessions you'll see and feel an improvement with your cardiovascular fitness, stamina, bone density, confidence and how you feel.

What our customers are saying:

"I had lost my way, my weight gain was out of control and I was in constant pain. I had had enough of it all but I didn’t know how to change or where to start. I plucked up the courage to contact Jules for help and it was the best decision! Her energy is contagious, she listens, cares, gets you on track and believes in you so you believe in yourself too. In 4 months of PT sessions, attending her classes and following her guidance I lost 2 stone in a healthy consistent way. I am now stronger mentally and physically, I used to look back on what I used to be able to do when I was younger and MS free, now I look forward to seeing what I can do now and what I can achieve because there is no reason why I can’t, there will always be bumps in the road but with a bit of hard work and the right positive mindset you can get there.

Philippa

"You always make everyone feel welcome and feeling good about exercise as you have a natural ability to put people at ease and instruct them how to do an exercise safely and with so much motivation and fun in every class - that's why people keep coming back!"

Heather

"You seriously are the best fitness instructor/ teacher I've ever met Jules (no, I'm not looking for a discount!). I've been to quite a few gyms in Swindon. I think expertise, trust, respect, and warmth are so important. You have all of these skills and qualities. I keep singing your praises!"

About Me

My start into the fitness world kicked off in my mid 20s when I was introduced to rugby in 1995, I'd dabbled in going to the gym but had no idea what I was really doing or why ha ha. Rugby changed my world and thinking. The fitness, training, team ethic, highs, lows & training in all weathers. But for me being part of a like-minded tribe of women and loving how fitness and movement made me feel.

I picked up a few broken bones and a serious break of my tibia and fib in 2004. This resulted in two nails, months on crutches and another year to get back to full strength. My leg healed and I used this experience to help others heal I qualified as a Sports Therapist in 1995 where I learnt so much. I use my years of sports injury and exercise knowledge to empower others to trust and strengthen their bodies. It's important to move forward and not let these things define your life. I witness every day too many women being held back by past current issues, their thoughts and fears.

I believe hand on heart in the power of movement a positive mindset, good health and staying mobile. I just cannot accept that age, conditions, or ailments define us because there are always ways to adapt and remove barriers. If you don't ever try, then what does your quality of life look like going forward!

If you find yourself here take a moment to see if we fit and if I can help you in some way. Or maybe take something which inspires you today to make a change or try something different.
It does not matter where you are starting from. What matters is that you start.
